NSCT Staff are comprised of actors, dancers, musicians, vocalists and artists that have both performance experience and teaching experience. Performing Arts Education is our number one goal! All NSCT Staff are also trained in “The Nurtured Heart Approach” by Dr. Howard Glasser, which reinforces positive behaviors through constant recognition and praise.
Nicole has directed numerous shows and musicals including Godspell, Seussical and Matilda for Theatre of Light in Salem, Massachusetts. She also wrote original scripts and directed Matilda, Madeline, and Alice in Wonderland. Nicole was co-founder and director of the Theatre of Light Summer Program and Broadway in Salem. She has enjoyed performing with Tufts Children’s Theatre, Our Lady of Nazareth Academy and Theatre of Light. Some of her favorite roles include Hamlet (Hamlet), Sally (You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown), and Scheherazade (Aladdin). Nicole also co-founded the Theatre of Light Student Ensemble raising scholarship money for its participants. Nicole graduated from Salem State University and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in child development at Tufts University.
Rachel has been with the theatre since its foundation in 2009, originating the role of Belle in NSCT’s first production, Beauty and the Beast. Other roles have included (The Little Mermaid) and Vizzini (The Princess Bride). She has studied strategic communications and creative writing at Elon University and now studies marketing communications at Emerson College.
Kate will be attending American University in Washington D.C. next fall to study in the School of Communications. Currently she attends Beverly High School where she is the president of her chorus. She is an alumni of NSCT, with some of her favorite roles including Inigo Montoya (The Princess Bride), Winifred Sanderson (Hocus Pocus), and Fiona (Shrek). Kate loves working with kids and is thrilled to be apart of the team!
Jake became involved in theater productions with Theater of Light, Peabody High School and programs at North Shore Music Theater. Some of his favorite roles include Linus (You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown), Jimmy(Almost, Maine), and The Narrator/Mysterious man (Into the Woods). He has studied at North Shore Community College and has been working for NSCT since 2012 where he started as an intern.
Kristie is a costume designer from Chelsea, MA. She has a degree in fashion design from Bay State College. She has been professionally designing costumes for six years, but has had an interest since a young age. She has been with NSCT for Four years and enjoys it very much. Some of her favorite shows that she has done include Ragtime, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Shrek: The Musical and Aladdin.
Nick is an accomplished pianist who is thrilled to be working at the theatre.
Janenne is a trained dancer, competitive team member, and was assistant dance teacher at Lorraine Spada School of Dance. She also has performed with the Albany Berkshire Ballet in their annual performance of The Nutcracker. Currently, she attends Regis College where she is pursuing a B.A. in Biology. She is also a member and choreographer for the Regis College Dance Company. While training, she has studied under famous choreographers such as Brian Friedman, Cris Jud, Laurieann Gibson, and more. She has received many high score awards while dancing at competitions and conventions with solo and group work. She started as an assistant choreographer at NSCT in the spring of 2016 and is thrilled to Choreograph for the NSCT family!
